Cute As

My son has this THING that he does. I’ve been trying to figure out where he came up with it, and all I can come up with is this: I don’t always use “as” properly.
“You’re strong as Green Lantern!” I’ll say.
“You’re fast as Spiderman!” I’ll say.
He really loves super heroes…

Anyway, he’s taken to using “as.” But the way he uses it is a LITTLE different.
“Mom,” he’ll say, “I got this big as chair!”
“This sword is huge as!”
“I’m the right as boy!” He’ll say when he gets something right.

Can you read those last three phrases out loud, please?
Big as?
Huge as?
Right as?

When it comes out of his little mouth it just sounds soooo NOT innocent, and I can’t help but laugh. I need to teach him how to properly use “as” but he’s just a cute as boy.

And speaking of cute as:

  1. that is freaking hilarious! you have the best stories, and such cute children!

  2. (i realized right after posting that i should have written “best AS stories” and “cute AS children” but my cleverness is a little slow. ha.
