I created this website to catalog the recipes I toss around my tiny country kitchen.  If you’re looking for gourmet, keep looking!   Simplicity is my motto -inside the kitchen and out.

I was raised with 4 brothers and one sister -my mother was never extraordinarily fond of cooking, and anything she took the time to make was generally simple and delicious!  She wouldn’t waste her time on it if it wasn’t worth it.  She had a way of making a six-ingredient meal taste better than a 39 ingredient meal, and I fell in love with the idea of someday doing the same.  Between her and a father who raised his children on homegrown (and home hoed) corn and homegrown (and home fed) beef, I grew exceptionally fond of the kitchen.

If you need me, I’ll be in my flour-covered apron.
