It was really fun to see how much JC’s letters reminded me of something Elly would write. They were so great! I don’t know if Steven got his hatchet. JC asked for one too. I imagine Mom and Dad made it happen. They had the magic Christmas touch.

You had some great letters in there! We’ll have to pull them all out next time you’re down here. We sure did miss you today at the 4th of July celebration at the park! I had a couple people say to me, “I wish Steve was here.” Joe City lacs luster without you :)

I love that Mom saved those! I had a good laugh. It’s interesting that I could successfully spell “hatchet” but not “want”.
(You couldn’t spell difficulty if your life depended on it!)
